INTERNATIONAL TRADITIONAL DRIVING COMPETITION

OF COMPIÈGNE

The Cuts International Driving Competition (CIAT) in Compiègne is a competition which takes place over two days and which brings together drivers from all over Europe.

The programme

The competition is two-days event of three consecutive stages:

Saturday 2 p.m.

PRESENTATION

Stade Équestre du Grand Parc

Each turnout is judged on five criteria: overall impression, condition of the horses, carriage, harness and passengers appointments.

Sunday 9 a.m.

ROUTIER

National Forest of Compiègne

A road drive of approximately 15 km within a specific time. Drivers have to negotiate 5 Difficulties along the route that are similar to situations they could encounter on a typical drive in the country.

Sunday 2 p.m.

MANIABILITÉ

Stade Équestre du Grand Parc

On the main track, a course of around twenty "cone gates" within an optimum time. Hence allowing the public to appreciate the skills of the driver and the level of training of the horses.

Where to eat

Lunch is offered at the Orangerie panoramic restaurant, for which reservations are required.

Exhibitors

Each year, around twenty exhibitors, artists, artisans or even champagne houses present their creations to the enthusiastic public in the exhibitors' village.
